The first day

(This post will be sans photos as I played through this day last night without taking any screenshots)

I didn't want to make my family's life too difficult so I bought them a 2br 1ba house and furnished it for them before they moved in. One bedroom was supposed to be for Anna (the larger one with a double bed) and the other was supposed to be a shared bedroom for the twins.

The first day was spent mostly with the twins talking with their mother. I guess this is good, but they kept it up for a couple hours! Eventually some neighbors came over to welcome them to the neighborhood and the family slowly began to talk with their neighbors instead of each other. Things were going good.

Chris, one of the twins, who is a bit childlike, quickly became friends with one of the girls and they proceeded to play tag for hours upon end. I actually thought they would end up playing all night but soon they came inside to find Anna, Graham, and the other two neighbors watching TV.

The night continued with talking, laughing, bathroom breaks, and eventually sleep. Graham and Chris had school in the morning, but Anna had nothing planned for the next day as she has not found a job since moving to the new neighborhood. How they slept through the neighbors talking on their front porch, I don't know, but somehow the boys were up and ready for their first day of school on time and Anna crawled out of bed around 11am, making her way to the computer to play games.

An Introduction

I'm not a regular player of The Sims. But I do have an interest in the games and have ever since I used to play SimCity games when I was a kid. But with Sims 3 I was very impressed by the way your sims could live their own life without your constant need to tell them to go to the bathroom.

I followed Alice and Kev when the author was writing that series and I've always wanted to do something similar -- just let the sims live their own life with very little input from me. So, Anna and the Twins was born! I have created a single mother with twin teenage boys that rely on her.

I don't know how long this will last, I might get bored after a few weeks of playing but I will blog about it all, no matter how short or long. And, as soon as I can figure out the keys to take screenshots in game and where they save to, I will post screenshots as I play.
